originally I had heard rumors that by connecting our Wordpress About page to our Tribe page and working directly with you guys on trying to recruit more Wordpressers we would be elligible for a 25 dollar Amazon gift certificate. Is this true? If so, what sort of time scale are we looking at?

How Voting Will Work

So one of the reasons we wanted everbody to join this tribe, Containeropia!, is to make voting easier.

Voting will take place May 9-May 13. View everybody's profiles simply by clicking on their name in the "Members" box at the lower right-hand side of this tribe. (Only folks who've been invited by Marc will be allowed as members).

On May 9, I'll start a new thread called "Cast Your Vote Now!". Then you'll just respond (once only, you minx!) in that thread with the name of the person who you think has the coolest profile. We'll count the votes up by hand and circulate the results--and the dough.

Remember, in May we'll also send everybody a $20 honorarium kind of thing (an Amazon gift certificate) just for participating.

How to Do Italics

Mike (http://sanfrancisco.tribe.net/template/pub%2Coc%2CPeopleCard.vm?personid=f3cc034f-79fd-4de0-8785-50df86a3985d) seems to have figured out how to do italics. Anybody know how to make this work? As a security precaution, we (at least I thought) had html formatting turned off. But it's cool that Mike knows how to get around that!

RSS feed caching

It seems like the syndicated RSS feeds in the modules don't get updated all that often - is there a set time limit for this caching? Is there anywhere we can set it that I'm missing? Thanks!

Cool layout ideas for Tribe's container page

OK - here's a few ot get yah started:

- put a photo up onto your opage via the 'My Photo' feature. Put up more than one.

- subscribe to a set of RSS feeds and name them. Now create a different set. Make that amodule - too.

- cluster a set fo friends or set of Tribes into one module.

- mix and match combos of stuff (yes I knolwit's primarily limited ot internal Tribe stuff - but we're working on it.

- use the internal blog to connect the dots - start thinking about what 'micro-content' publishing will be
